Teacher's Guide
The Florida Wildfire Prevention CD-ROM is a fun, interactive way for teachers and students to learn about the impact of fire on our forests and communities. This CD-ROM is a way for students to improve academically while learning about “good fires” (prescribed fires) and “bad fires” (wildfires). It is ideal for use in a classroom or computer lab and greatly expands the Division of Forestry's youth outreach in wildfire prevention education. Internet links to related fire prevention websites and a companion Instructor’s Guide with suggested exercises, handouts and student assessments supplement the CD-ROM.
