Sand Hill and Hammock

There are 2 day-use areas available for picnicking and parking. Riders will find miles of trails within this 2,600 acre tract.
- Daily fee for pavilion (by reservation)
- Helmets are required for all riders.

McKethan Lake

The McKethan Lake Nature Trail is included in the Trailwalker program. This two mile nature trail offers visitors a chance to view wildlife such as white-tailed deer, hawks and owls. There are four species of southern pine: longleaf, slash, loblolly and sand. |

Hog Island

Located on the east bank of the Withlacoochee River near the community of Nobleton and includes the Hog Island Nature Trail, part of the Trailwalker Program. |

Iron Bridge

The hiking trail provides a good turn-around point for less experienced hikers that start their hike from either Hog Island or River Junction. |

River Junction

Located on the east bank of the Withlacoochee River at the mouth of the Little Withlacoochee River at Silver Lake. This recreation area provides many opportunities for canoe and fishing enthusiasts. Hiking Trail is included in the Trailwalker program. |

Silver Lake

Note: The Crooked River Campground, within the Silver Lake Recreation Area, is currently closed for renovation. It is scheduled to reopen on/about November 1, 2009. |
Silver Lake is approximately 6 miles upriver from Hog Island recreation area and 10 miles from the Nobleton boat ramp/canoe launch sites at the County Road 476 river bridge and the community park located on the north side of CR 476 at the northern terminus of Edgewater Avenue. |

Tillis Hill

All horses must have proof of a current negative Coggins test when on state lands. |
An equestrian area- the starting point for the one day (12 mile) and two day (24 mile) equestrian loop trails. |
