Redbay Ambrosia Beetle and Laurel Wilt

Redbay tree damaged by Ambrosia beetles.A non-native ambrosia beetle (Xyleborus glabratus) and its associated fungus (Raffaelea sp.) are killing redbay trees in Florida and other southeastern states.  Related trees like sassafras and avocado may also be at risk.  To help slow the spread of this exotic pest, please do not transport redbay firewood from place to place.  Please see the links below for more information:
