Step inside the Center and smell the fresh woodsy scent of the native trees and shrubs on display. Forestry professionals will be on hand to answer questions.

The Florida Forest Discovery Center is a partnership of forestry organizations with the purpose of educating Florida's citizens and visitors about the positive contribution that sound forestry practices have on our quality of life.

Exhibits include

  • Information and equipment from the turpentine industry and timber operations in the early 1900s.
  • The "Goods From the Woods" display with an interesting array of products that come from trees .
  • The "Good Fire, Bad Fire" exhibit where you can have your photo made in front of the prescribed 'good' fire wall mural. . Recreational opportunities on national and state forests
  • Meet Smokey Bear
  • Chainsaw Carving Demonstrations
  • Fire Prevention Clowns will be entertaining folks throughout the day.
  • The Florida Forestry Discovery Center is located on the east side of the Fair near Cracker Country, across from the Antique Steam Engines Exhibit.
